THINGS TO DO:
Founded in 1937, Seaside Aquarium is one of the oldest aquariums on the West Coast and
the descendants of some of the founders are still active in the operation. Two new harbor
seal pups joined the aquarium's popular group of entertainers - the old-timey
Aquarium boasts one of the best captive breeding records for Harbor Seals in the world.

Blackstone Edge Band: April 27, 2013, 7:30pm
From the craggy moors of Britain comes the Blackstone Edge Band, featuring vocalist
Philip Clayton-Thompson, musical director Dave Fleschner and several of Portland's top
musicians, including Eric Schrepel of Y La Bamba. Unlike The Beatles who sang 'Besame
Mucho' in English, Clayton-Thompson sings it in Spanish, along with 'La Mer' in French,
Sting's 'Fields of Gold', and 'Bring Him Home' from Les Miserables. BSE band offers its
audiences a chance to experience an evening filled with popular music, song, and film
clips that evoke a simpler time. Tickets are $20.
