Kite Flying in Cannon Beach

Kite Flying in Cannon Beach

“The sky is big enough for EVERYONE!”

Kite flying is very popular among men, women, children, and families from all walks of life and ages. With our prevailing onshore winds and wide-open beaches, flying conditions are ideal.

Winds that are too strong or too light make flying difficult. Winds about 5 – 25 mph are best for most kites. Flying is the greatest when the wind is medium so you can accomplish more than just hold on. Your kite will dance across the sky!

Bring your own kite or you may purchase or rent from one of the local kite shops.
